tHE FEATURE OF PVC TILE TRIM
PVC tile trim is made of high-quality plastic and has excellent waterproof, anti-corrosion and heat-resistant properties. This makes them ideal for use in environments with high humidity and temperature, such as bathrooms and kitchens.
PVC tile trim comes in a variety of styles and sizes, such as round, L-shaped, V-shaped, etc., making it versatile to match the desired look for any tile installation project.
PVC tile trim is a highly durable material that is not easily cracked or broken, making it a popular choice for high-use areas such as commercial kitchens, hospitals, and schools.

THE USAGE OF PVC TILE TRIM
PVC tile trim is primarily used in tile installation projects to provide a clean, professional finish to edges, corners, and transitions. They are ideal for bathroom and kitchen applications, as water and humidity can destroy the beauty and durability of tile installations. Additionally, they can be used to protect tile surfaces from scratches, chips, and cracks. PVC tile edging is available in a variety of profiles and can be used with different shaped tiles such as square, round and beveled to provide the perfect finish.
How do we produce plastic tile edge trims
Here is a plain English description of the production process for PVC tile trim strips:
- Mixing: PVC powder and special additives such as stabilizers, pigments, and fillers are weighed and thoroughly mixed.
- Thermoforming (extrusion): The mixed powder is fed into an extrusion machine. The powder is heated and forced through a specially shaped hole (die) like toothpaste through a tube. This creates a long, continuous strip of hot, soft plastic that has the same profile (shape) as the trim strip.
- Cooling and shaping: The hot, soft plastic strip coming out of the extruder passes through a cooling tank filled with water. First, it passes through a special cooling tank that uses vacuum suction and cold water to pull it into its exact final shape. Then, it passes through more water tanks where it cools completely and becomes hard plastic.
- Stretching, cutting and packaging: A machine gently pulls the cooled, hardened plastic strip forward at a constant speed. An automatic saw cuts the long strip into standard lengths (e.g. 2.4 meters or 8 feet). The cut strips are then bundled, wrapped for protection, and boxed or placed on pallets for shipping.

In short:
- Mixing: Mix the PVC powder and additives.
- Extrusion: Heat and extrude the mixture through a forming hole to form long, hot strips.
- Cooling and hardening: Use water and suction to fix the shape, then cool completely.
- Cutting and packaging: Pull out the strips, cut them to length, bundle them, and then pack them.
