1. Require the construction unit to lift the expansion joint into position, check whether the centerline of the joint coincides with the centerline of the beam joint, whether the top surface is consistent with the elevation of the road surface, and make timely adjustments.
2. Before installation, it is necessary to check whether the expansion joint has a factory certificate of conformity, user manual, etc., and invite supervision, design, and relevant personnel to inspect and accept the appearance and geometric accuracy of the expansion joint. Only after passing the inspection can it be used.
3. It is necessary to clean and fill the gaps of the bridge deck in a timely manner: manually cooperate with an air compressor to remove the asphalt concrete within the cutting range, chisel off loose concrete, and at the same time clean up the debris in the joints.
4. When the expansion joint to be installed is in place and lifted by a crane, the hook of the crane should be checked to prevent detachment. During lifting, the lifting should be strictly carried out according to the manufacturer's reserved lifting position, and the steel bars should be bound and rolled according to the design drawings.
