The Installation Process Of Baseboard

1. Drilling: Before drilling, observe the wiring direction of water and electricity to prevent errors. The spacing between drilling holes should not be too large, otherwise the baseboard will be difficult to adhere to the wall.

Drill holes on the wall using specialized tools. The common length of the baseboard is 2m. In order to fix the baseboard more firmly, the spacing between drilling holes should be around 40cm, and the spacing at the interface should be smaller. Nail the small wooden strip into the hole just made. The nail that fixes the baseboard is nailed to this wooden strip, directly nailed to the wall, and the nail is easy to loosen.

Attention: As the pipes of the hydropower project are buried on the wall, the position of the pipes is directly below the switch socket. When drilling holes, the position should be calculated to avoid damage.

2. Fixation: Before fixing the skirting line, the wall should be leveled and cleaned. Otherwise, after installing the skirting line, it may not fully adhere to the wall and leave unsightly gaps.

Check the position of the drilling hole accurately, and then fix the nails onto the skirting line. When fixing, pay attention to whether the skirting line is tightly attached to the wall, and the nails should also be completely embedded in the skirting line, making it difficult to see.

Attention: Skirting lines made of high polymer, density board, and wood materials all have the characteristics of thermal expansion and contraction. Therefore, the skirting line near the wall corner should also have an expansion joint of about 1cm, similar to the floor.

3. Corner treatment: At the corner of the wall, where the skirting lines intersect, the edges of the skirting lines should be cut at a 45 degree angle to avoid leaving unsightly marks at the interface. Fix the cut baseboard in place. Attention: The skirting lines in the corners must be cut at a 45 degree angle before splicing and installation, otherwise it will affect the appearance.

4. Installation points: Special threaded nails should be used to fix the skirting line, which has a better fixing effect and is not easy to loosen. Everyone should pay attention to whether manufacturers are cutting corners.

Skirting lines are originally designed to cover the expansion joints of the floor and make it more aesthetically pleasing. Therefore, the edges where the skirting lines intersect should be scraped flat with a plane.

The baseboard should be completely attached to the wall without leaving any gaps for a more beautiful appearance, especially in the corners. Before installation, the flatness of the wall should be tested.
