1. The pipe bursts or the glue leaks from the bottom when applying epoxy resin caulking agent.
Reason:
The offset of the bottom plug will cause glue leakage from the bottom. There are two main reasons for the offset of the bottom plug: one is that the bottom plug is installed offset when filling the glue, and the other is that the push rod of the glue gun is offset, causing the bottom plug to be offset during the glue application process, thus causing glue leakage.
Solution:
- 1. Before applying glue, check whether the bottom plug is neat and whether the push rod of the glue gun is offset. If so, solve the problem before applying glue.
- 2. The outlet of the front mixer is too small or blocked, and excessive glue pressure will cause glue leakage from the bottom.
- 3. Before and during glue application, pay attention to the mixer to keep the glue discharge smooth, and the glue gun discharge pressure and glue discharge speed to be uniform.
- 4. Violent construction. The pipe will burst if it is broken by external force or crushed during transportation.
- 5. With the arrival of autumn and winter, the temperature in the northern region drops locally, the material becomes thicker, and the resistance to glue is large. The glue gun shrinks due to cold, which causes glue leakage due to resistance during glue application; and the manual glue gun is unevenly stressed during glue application, which can also cause glue leakage.
- 6. Using inferior glue guns, there will be left and right pressure imbalance during construction, and the AB discharge ratio will not meet the minimum mixing requirements, which will cause multiple sections to not solidify and increase the pipe burst rate.
- 7. Pipe bursts will occur if the temperature is low and the hose is not heated by water or heated at high temperature.
2. Black edges or black spots appear on both sides of the tile gap after pressing the seam
Reason:
Incomplete cleaning of cement stains and residues will cause black edges or black spots on both sides of the gap after pressing the seam.
Solution:
Before applying glue, the gap should be thoroughly cleaned before construction. If glue has been applied, all the glue in the gap should be cleaned out, and then the gap should be cleaned again.
The material should be flattened, and the black edge can be wiped back and forth with a special seam cleaning agent. If the black substance is cement, caulking agent, etc., it can be carefully cleaned with a special seam cleaning spatula.
Reason:
The friction between the seam cleaning or pressing tool and the edge of the tile leaves a lead mark, causing the black edge after pressing the seam
Solution:
Before applying glue, the gap should be thoroughly cleaned before construction. If glue has been applied, all the glue in the gap should be cleaned out, and then the gap should be cleaned again.
When cleaning the gap, use a tool with lower hardness to clean it. Before applying glue, carefully check whether there is any lead mark left on the edge of the gap. If there is, wipe the lead mark with a cleaner before applying glue.
3. When the temperature is high, the epoxy resin seam agent colloid is prone to sagging or collapse
Reason:
Because the epoxy resin component in the seam agent has a lower viscosity and a higher fluidity when the temperature is high, the colloid is prone to vertical sagging or
plane collapse. Plane collapse may also be caused by the colloid of the grouting agent not filling the gap, and the colloid continues to settle to the bottom of the gap.
Solution:
When the temperature is too high, the grouting agent should be placed in a cool place for cooling treatment, and the grouting construction should be carried out after the temperature of the grouting agent colloid drops.
When applying glue on the plane, try to control the speed, don't be too fast, let the colloid fill the gap to avoid collapse.
4. The grouting agent is difficult to clean after construction
Reason:
It mainly manifests on tiles made of antique tiles, soaked tiles, tiles, etc. The reason is that the surface pores of such tiles are large, and the grouting agent is easy to penetrate.
Solution:
Before construction, grouting wax should be applied or masking tape should be applied for shielding and protection.
Reason:
The grouting agent has a strong adhesion to the tile, and it is not easy to scrape the glue, and the glue will remain on the surface of the tile.
Solution:
Clear the glue with a special grouting cleaner in time.
5. The edge of the tile is broken when scraping the tile glue.
Reason:
1. The adhesive strength of the grout to the tile is too strong.
2. The speed of scraping the glue is too fast, and the scraper damages the tile.
Solution:
The scraping time should not exceed 24 hours; the speed should be slow when scraping the glue, and the scraper should not scrape the edge of the tile directly
